Get up and running with Sentuent in just five minutes. This guide walks you through everything you need to start learning or teaching right away.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Sign up with your email address and create a secure password. You'll need to verify your email to activate your account.

Check your email for the verification link and click it

Pro tip: Use a professional email address that you check regularly. This is how you'll receive important notifications about your sessions.

Step 2: Complete Your Profile

Your profile is how others will find and connect with you on the platform.

For Students:

  • Add your learning goals and subjects of interest
  • Upload a profile photo (optional but recommended)
  • Set your timezone for accurate scheduling

For Tutors:

  • Describe your teaching experience and expertise
  • List the subjects you teach
  • Set your hourly rate
  • Upload a professional photo

Step 3: Set Up Payments

Students: Choose a subscription plan and purchase lesson credits. Credits are used to book sessions with tutors.

Credit packages:

  • Starter: 4 credits ($60)
  • Popular: 8 credits ($110)
  • Pro: 16 credits ($200)

Tutors: Connect your Stripe account to receive payments directly to your bank account. You'll need:

  • Bank account information
  • Tax ID or SSN
  • Date of birth

Step 4: Find & Connect

Students:

  • Browse our marketplace of tutors
  • Filter by subject, availability, and price
  • Send a message to introduce yourself

Tutors:

  • Complete your profile to appear in search results
  • Respond to student messages promptly
  • Showcase your teaching style

Step 5: Schedule Your First Session

Use our AI scheduling assistant to find a time that works for both you and your tutor/student. The session will be automatically added to both calendars.

Simply type something like: "Can we schedule a session for next Tuesday afternoon?"

Step 6: Join Your Session

When it's time for your lesson, you'll see a "Join Session" button on your dashboard. Click it to enter the video meeting.

Before your first session:

  • Test your camera and microphone
  • Find a quiet space with good lighting
  • Have any necessary materials ready
  • Join 2-3 minutes early to ensure everything works
